Rickettsia conorii isolated from the blood sample from a patient with fever of unknown origin .The sequence of isolated strian was different from other members of Rickettsia conorii but apparently closely related to Rickettsia conorii subsp. indica ITTR.We feel that data presented should prompt consideration of it as a new subspecies on the basis of current rickettsial taxonomy.
