Dataset of Scopus search on Artificial Intelligence, Human Agency, and Psychosocial Risks at Work

This bibliometric dataset, retrieved from the Scopus (Elsevier) database on April 2, 2026, captures the state of peer-reviewed scientific literature at the intersection of artificial intelligence, human agency, and psychosocial risks in the workplace. Employing a synchronous, cross-sectional design focused exclusively on the first quarter of 2026 (including advanced articles-in-press), the dataset captures the mature post-peer-review operational frontier of agentic systems while eliminating legacy predictive systems. The search strategy combined three Boolean dimensions AI technologies (TITLE-ABS-KEY(("AI" OR "Artificial Intelligence" OR "Generative AI" OR "GenAI" OR "Algorithm*"))), employee agency and job control (TITLE-ABS-KEY(("Agency" OR "Human Agency" OR "Employee Agency" OR "Autonomy" OR "Deskilling" OR "Job Control" OR "Decision Latitude" OR "Algorithmic Management"))), and occupational mental health (TITLE-ABS-KEY(("Psychosocial risk*" OR "Mental health" OR "Job stress" OR "Burnout" OR "Well-being" OR "Technostress"))). Applying a rigorous multi-stage filtering protocol restricted to English and Spanish peer-reviewed journal articles across Business, Applied Psychology, Occupational Health, Social Sciences, and Decision Sciences, alongside targeted keyword exclusions to eliminate purely technical engineering literature a final screened sample of 194 high-impact articles was established to provide a robust, reproducible foundation for analyzing emerging socio-technical workplace dynamics.
