Mold fungi are one of the most significant factors leading to the biodeterioration of cultural heritage sites, and paintings in particular. Here we publish the complete genomes of fungi that degrade tempera paintings, isolated from paintings in the Tretyakov Gallery and shown to be capable of degrading painting materials on specially prepared models.
