Socio-demographic study associated with the use of Catalan in 2013 and 2023.

This dataset provides a table with structured compilation of socio-demographic variables associated with the use of Catalan. The variables included cover several socio-cultural and economic dimensions, such as cultural background, nationality, age, education level, gender, and net income. The dataset examines multiple aspects of Catalan language use, including habitual language use and specific linguistic competencies such as reading, writing, speaking, and understanding. The dataset contains information from two different years, 2013 and 2023, allowing for the comparison of changes over a ten-year period. The data have been compiled, organized, and systematized using microdata provided by the Generalitat de Catalunya. A dashbord is included, to suppport the table and offer an overview of the data facilitating their interpretation with interactive graphics. Finally, a codebook is also provided, describing the variables and the meaning of the response categories included in the dataset.
