Arabic and Latin Corpus Parallel Documents

This dataset contains a subset of the Arabic and Latin Corpus, namely texts for which transcriptions of the Arabic original text and the corresponding Latin translation are available in the Corpus. It only contains texts that, to our knowledge, were free of copyright at the time of the last update. Unlike many of the files published on the Corpus website, the TEI-XML files available here do not contain line coordinates. Details about the sources of the transcriptions and the persons responsible for the transcriptions can be found in the headers of the individual files. Unless otherwise noted, the texts are based on OCR texts that have been completely corrected by hand.

While the texts themselves correspond to version 0.2.4 of the Corpus, the metadata has been revised since then. This mainly concerns title and translator information. The text ProclArab_Causis (Arabic and Latin) has been renamed to Ps-Aris_Caus.
