The materials include documentation of experiments on evaluation of omnidirectional optical system for high speed video registration of lightning phenomena purposes. The archeive consists of source data and simulation results arranged for three types of omnidirectional mirrors with 15, 30 and 45 degree vertical field of view, and is freely avaliable for everyone.Entire archieve was divided into five parts including:Sequences of video files used during high-speed video camera and omnidirectional mirror calibration process (.png format)Graphic files of calibration patterns used for high-speed video camera and omnidirectional mirror calibration and positioning (.pdf format)Designed (computed) omnidirectional mirror curvatures (.xlsx format)High-speed video registrations of lightning phenomena used for validation of developed omnidirectional mirrors (.png format, each particular video registration is a sequence of consecutive .png files placed in the particular folder)Matlab simulation scripts for omnidirectional mirror design, positioning and calibration (.m files of Matlab format, possible to open as standard .txt formatted files)All files can be accessed with free software.Particular sequences of high-speed camera videos given in the mentioned archieves no. 1 and 4 can also be opened in the Photron Fastcam Viewer (version 3.5 or higher) supplied by Photron company (https://photron.com). For this purpose one can open particular .cih files placed in the same folders as the corresponding .png files.In order to use supplied Matlab scripts there is necessary to unzip all archieves and set proper paths to source files depending of their location on PC hard drive.
