PPR — Connectivity Managers

The subdivision of the regional territory into ecotopes with different functions, represents the de facto state of connectivity of the different portions of the regional territory. By crossing this design with the elaboration of the lines which, with a minimum total travel cost, connect all the different core areas with each other. The guidelines identified, taking into account the scale of analysis of the RER (Regional Ecological Network), represent a general indication of the territorial connection needs, which can be defined more precisely by the REL (Local Ecological Network). The local ecological network, taking into account the real physical structure of the territory and using more detailed analysis tools (cartographs), will be able to identify alternative guidelines which, however, retain the function of connecting the core areas of the RER highlighted in the regional network project.
