GALT activity and amount of β-Yariv precipitated AGPs in WT, <i>galt2</i>, <i>galt5</i>, and <i>galt2 galt5</i> mutants.

Detergent-solubilized microsomal fractions were used for performing a standard GALT assay using [AO]7 as the peptide substrate acceptor and UDP-[14C]Gal as the sugar donor, and AGPs were extracted, precipitated by β-Yariv reagent, and quantified from 14-d-old plants. The values are averages of at least two independent experiments from two biological replicates. Student’s t tests were performed to determine statistical significance (a P < 0.05, b P <0.01).
