The structuring of the forest-wood sector

The forest-wood sector represents EUR 60 billion and 440000 jobs in France. At the centre of multiple environmental, economic and social challenges, it has been experiencing a structural crisis for at least two decades. The lack of linkage between supply and demand for timber results in a large and growing trade deficit of around EUR 7 billion. Although progress has been made, structuring efforts, both within the sector and within the public authorities, remain insufficient. At the request of the Finance, General Economy and Budgetary Control Committee of the National Assembly, the Court makes eight recommendations around two main areas of action: conservation of the forest resource and support for wood processing industries; the promotion of a coherent channel policy, on the other hand.法国林业木材产业年产值达600亿欧元（EUR），带动44万个就业岗位。该产业作为多重环境、经济与社会挑战的核心领域，近二十余年来始终面临结构性危机。木材供需衔接不足，导致约70亿欧元的贸易逆差且规模持续扩大。尽管已取得一定进展，但产业内部与公共管理部门的结构性优化举措仍显不足。应国民议会财政、国民经济与预算监督委员会的要求，法国审计法院围绕两大核心行动领域提出八项建议：一是森林资源保护与木材加工产业扶持；二是推动构建统一连贯的流通渠道政策。
