Danish Election Study 2005, Supplementary I

The Danish Election Survey 2005 is based on data collected by TNS Gallup from February to August 2005. The Danish Election Survey 2005 consists of a main survey, a panel study and a supplementary survey. The main survey is similar to previous election surveys. The respondents participating in the panel study was first interviewed in 2001 and again in 2005. The main survey consists of two parts: The first part is interviews with 1461 voters who were interviewed for the first time in 2005. The second part is a panel of 803 voters who were interviewed in connection with the election in 2001 and again after the election in 2005. Supplement 1: In the supplementary survey the respondents are asked additional questions regarding social background variables and which party they vote for. Supplement 2: The panel study includes the questions asked in the main survey in 2001 and 2005. The survey population includes all persons living in Denmark, who are eighteen years or older and who live in a private household. The survey population is the de facto population regardless of citizenship. The main survey and the supplement survey include the following background variables: Sex, age and marital status of the respondent, number of adults (aged eighteen or older) and children in the household, how old the children are, the education and employment of the respondent, including if they are privately or publicly employed, membership of union, the annual income of the respondent and the household, homeownership, where the home is located and the degree of urbanisation.
