THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LANGUAGE AND SOCIETY

This article examines the relationship between language and society from linguistic, sociocultural and communicative perspectives. Language is not only a system of sounds, words and grammatical structures, but also a social phenomenon that reflects the life, history, culture, worldview and values of a community. Society creates conditions for the development of language, while language ensures communication, social interaction, cultural continuity and the formation of collective identity. The article discusses the social functions of language, the influence of social factors on language development, the role of language in national identity, education, culture and interpersonal communication. Special attention is paid to the importance of sociolinguistics in studying the interaction between language and society. The study concludes that language and society are inseparably connected, and changes in social life inevitably influence linguistic processes.
