Species lists and traits for Yasuní and BCI

Species lists, biogeographic distributions, and environmental traits for woody plant species from Yasuní, Ecuador and Barro Colorado Island (BCI), Panama. Species lists were derived from 50-ha plots maintained by the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute Center for Tropical Forest Science. Biogeographic distributions and environmental traits (i.e., elevational range, drought tolerance) were computed for each species using curated occurrence records from the Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF). Trait metadata are provided in the first tab of the Excel file.
