Reproducibility package (analysis code and summary result tables only; no redistributed cohort data) for temperature variability, mortality, and functional ageing analyses in Chinese cohorts

This repository contains a journal-agnostic reproducibility package for analyses of temperature variability, mortality, and functional ageing using two national Chinese cohort studies: the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS) and the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study (CHARLS).

The package includes curated analysis code, documentation and manifests for file integrity, and small summary result tables corresponding to values reported in manuscript and supplementary materials. The repository is intentionally described in manuscript-independent terms so that the same data-sharing record can be reused across journal submissions and revised manuscript titles.

No restricted or licensed cohort microdata are redistributed in this upload. In particular, this repository does not include downloaded CLHLS or CHARLS datasets, participant-level records, identifiers, or dataset-like derived files that would substitute for the original cohort data. Access to the original cohort data must be obtained directly from the official data providers under their application procedures, access rules, and data-use agreements.

This package includes: (i) curated analysis scripts, (ii) lightweight metadata and manifests for reproducibility and file integrity, and (iii) summary result tables corresponding to reported findings. Climate and cohort source data are referenced through their official providers rather than redistributed here.
