Anonymised BUS-15 Dataset from a STEM chatbot Pilot Study (N = 37, Taiwan, 2025)

This dataset contains anonymised student responses to the 15-item BOT Usability Scale (BUS-15), collected during a pilot study in May 2025 in a secondary STEM education setting in Taiwan. A total of 37 upper-secondary students (aged 15–16) tested an AI-supported educational chatbot developed on the Botpress platform as part of a classroom activity. Each row represents one respondent, and each column corresponds to one BUS-15 item, rated on a 5-point Likert scale (1 = strongly disagree to 5 = strongly agree). The dataset includes four missing responses (≈0.7%). No personally identifying information was collected or stored. The internal consistency of the BUS-15 responses was assessed using Cronbach’s alpha (α = .709), calculated based on complete cases (N = 33). The dataset supports the reproducibility of the statistical results presented in the manuscript: **"The development of an AI-supported chatbot as an interactive learning platform in STEM education: A pilot study on usability and student experience"** (submitted for peer review in 2025).
