VISTA project - vehicle data
收藏资源简介:
This data set contains the acceleration loading sustained by the car occupants during a front impact between a complete vehicle and a fixed rigid obstacle. The data were generated after finite element simulations (conducted with LS-DYNA). The data set includes the results of 60 numerical simulations characterized by: the vehicle model: either a Dodge Neon (1996) or a Honda Accord (2011); the impact velocity of the vehicle with the rigid obstacle: 30 km/h, 50 km/h, 70 km/h or 90 km/h; the accident scenario, defined by the shape and orientation of the fixed rigid obstacle: an infinite wall oriented at 90°, -60°, +60°, -30° or +30°; a finite wall with a 50% overlap with the vehicle, located on the right side or on the left side of the vehicle; a cylinder located on the center of the vehicle, facing the driver or facing the passenger. This data were generated during the VISTA project (VISTA: VItesse et Sévérité des Traumatismes dans les Accidents de la route, 2023) funded by the French Delegation to Traffic Safety (Délégation à la Sécurité Routière). This project aims at better understanding the influence of the impact speed on the injury risks and injury severity sustained by car occupants during road accidents.
