This data set was acquired with a ship-based Atlas Hydrosweep DS Multibeam Sonar system during Maurice Ewing expedition EW9104 conducted in 1991 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Roger Larson). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Swath Bathymetry, Acoustic Backscatter, and Sidescan data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 2.1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Gloria, Sea Beam, Geophysical Investigation of the Juan Fernandez Microplate at the Pacific-Antarctic-Nazca Triple Junction, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE89-17630 and OCE92-16866.
