This is a 16S rRNA amplicon library generated from a longitudinal study of the fecal microbiota of three inbred strains of mouse, each obtained from two distinct commercial vendors. Our goal was to characterize the vendor- and strain-dependent differences in the microbiota of mice used in biomedical research and its development over time.
