VPRS 16096 Records Management Manual

This series comprises records management manual used by the Registry staff for registration, indexing and retrieval of files.From 1986 the Port of Melbourne Authority used an automated recordkeeping system to manage its correspondence within a multiple number system. The automated system was initially an RMS database. Subsequently the agency used a system based on TRIM software.

本系列档案包含档案登记处（Registry）工作人员用于文件登记、编目与检索的档案管理手册。自1986年起，墨尔本港务局（Port of Melbourne Authority）依托多编号体系，采用自动化档案管理系统对其往来函件进行管理。该自动化系统初期为RMS数据库（RMS），后续该机构改用基于TRIM软件的档案管理系统。
