The dataset is a mosaic of images captured by Sentinel 2A (European Copernicus programme) during the autumn of 2018. The images are appropriately mosaiced to cover the Piedmontese, Ligurian and Valdostan territories according to a series of 9 tiles and are published in natural colors: bands 4 (red), 3 (green) and 2 (blue) of the MSI sensor (13 channels in visible/infrared VNIR). Acquisition date:02 October for TLR tiles — TLQ19 October for TMS tiles — TNS 22 October for TLS tiles — TLP — TLQ24 October for TLP tiles — TLQ — TLR — TMP — TMQ — TMR — TNR — tNQ — TNPThe mosaic was made by Arpa Piemonte in the context of activities related to the national Project of Monitoring of Soil Consumption 2019 conducted by the National System for Environmental Protection (SNPA) through the coordination of ISPRA and the involvement of several regional agencies. The project aims to monitor the transformations of the territory due to urban, infrastructural, commercial expansions, etc. with the consequent loss of natural, agricultural and semi-natural soil, understood as an essential and fundamentally non-renewable environmental resource. The methodology of analysis uses, for the first time on a national scale in a uniform and uniform way, the new Sentinel 2A/B images which, given their level of detail and the frequency of revisitation guaranteed by the Sentinel mission, allow to obtain overviews of the national territory in a regular and constant way (multi-time analysis).The comparison between these allows to highlight the main transformations of the territory and the related phenomena of land use (expansion of urban settlements, new roads, shipbuilding for new works, etc.).

本数据集为2018年秋季由哨兵2A(Sentinel 2A,欧洲哥白尼计划(Copernicus Programme))拍摄的影像镶嵌图。该数据集通过9组影像瓦片进行合理拼接,覆盖皮埃蒙特、利古里亚及瓦莱达奥斯塔地区,以自然色彩模式发布:采用多光谱仪器(MSI,Multi-Spectral Instrument)的4(红)、3(绿)、2(蓝)波段,该传感器共包含13个可见/近红外(VNIR)通道。 成像日期规则如下:TLR瓦片为10月2日;TMS瓦片为10月19日;TLS、TNS瓦片为10月22日;TLP、TLQ、TLR、TMP、TMQ、TMR、TNR、TNQ、TNP瓦片为10月24日。 本镶嵌图由皮埃蒙特地区环境保护局(Arpa Piemonte)制作,相关工作隶属于意大利国家环境保护系统(SNPA,National System for Environmental Protection)2019年开展的全国土壤消耗监测项目。该项目由意大利国家环境保护与研究委员会(ISPRA,Istituto Superiore per la Protezione e la Ricerca Ambientale)统筹协调,并联合多家区域机构共同参与。 本项目旨在监测因城市、基础设施、商业扩张等活动引发的地表形态变迁,以及随之产生的自然、农业与半自然土壤流失;土壤作为一种不可或缺且基本不可再生的环境资源,其保护意义重大。 本次分析方法首次在全国范围内以统一标准应用新型哨兵2A/B影像。得益于哨兵任务所保障的影像细节精度与重访频率,该类影像可实现对全国领土的定期、持续性观测(多时序分析)。 通过对这类影像的对比分析,可清晰识别地表主要变迁及相关土地利用现象,包括城镇聚落扩张、新建道路、新工程船舶建造等。
