Coastal marine waters — macrozoobenthos data (years 2008-2017)
The surveys concern the study of the macrozoobentonic communities of the mobile funds (sand and/or mud) that characterise the seabed and transition environments of Veneto. The populations present are continuously exposed both to factors that support their development (e.g. solar radiation, nutrients) and to factors that can cause an alteration (e.g. physicochemical variations in water, presence of pollutants, dredging). The study of the composition and structure (through the calculation of indices) of the benthic communities of mobile funds are used to evaluate possible changes and identify any alterations in the area studied.
