Transcriptome profiling (RNA-seq) of local and systemic tissue of Arabidopsis Col plants exposed to a local treatment of high light, heat stress and a combination of high light and heat stress on the same leafs or in different leaves Local leaves of bolting Col plants were exposed to a light intensity of 1700 µmol m-2 sec-1 using a gooseneck light source (ACE I; Schott), or heat stress by placing a heat block 2 cm underneath the treated leaf, or to the combination of both stresses in the same leaf or in two different leaves for periods of 0, 2 and 8 min. Total RNA of local treated leaves as well as systemic tissue (stem) were used and single-end sequenced reads were obtained from the Illumina NExtSeq platform.
