Maternal microbiota during gestation impact offspring gut microbiota

Here, we investigated the impact of maternal intestinal microbiota during gestation or nursing only on infant gut colonization and immunity. We show using vancomycin which was unabsorbed from the maternal gut that altering just the maternal gut during gestation or lactation has a profound impact on offspring gut colonization as well as immunity
