wild tomato Solanum habrochaites LA1777 is a disease resistant germplasm resource. Understanding how O. neolycopersici interacts with tomato is key to controlling in-fection. Transcriptome sequencing technology can reveal the landscape of tomato-O. neolycopersici interaction. In this study, next generation sequencing (NGS) was used to discover the crosstalk and integration pathways between S. habrochaites LA1777 and O. neolycopersici in the samples collected from 12 hpi (hours post inoculation), 36 hpi and 72 hpi, based on the results of histological observation. Based on the analysis results herein, we suggest that pathogen-induced host ethylene biosynthesis plays a predominant role in S.habrochaites LA1777 resistance against O. neolycopersici infec-tion process.
