Survey on Flexibility in Norwegian Working Life, 1997.

This survey was carried out by Statistics Norway and initiated by the Norwegian Ministry of Local Government and the Ministry of Labour. The survey aims to map out the degree of numerical, functional and financial flexibility in Norwegian companies. The data was collected by doing interviews with the managing directors in different sectors by phone.

The survey includes questions on the following themes:
- The ownership of the company
- Numerical flexibility (temporary employees, hired capacity for wotk etc)
- Organization of labour and fuctional flexibility (products or services)
- What working group that is most involved in the production
- Delegating responsibility, working rotation, working groups, education etc.
- Salary, terms of employment and leading structures
- Environment and results
- Technology and the making of products
