Dementia, a growing global health concern with projected significant increases in cases worldwide and in Indonesia, presents challenges such as disorientation and loss of autonomy for People with Dementia (PWD). Despite Indonesia's existing dementia initiatives, a concrete, researchable dementia-friendly wayfinding model is currently lacking a concrete, researchable dementia-friendly wayfinding project that could serve as a model to support the mobility and independence of People with Dementia (PWD) in outdoor activities. Environmental design, particularly dementia-friendly wayfinding, offers promising non-pharmacological intervention to address these issues and stimulate PWD autonomy. The Singapore government's Kebun Baru wayfinding project stands as a prominent example of successful implementation. Therefore, examining the Singapore’s Kebun Baru dementia-friendly wayfinding project from a design perspective is crucial to guide inclusive design in Indonesia and contribute to Sustainable Development Goals related to inclusive innovation and sustainable communities, which could improve health and well-being aspect. This research primarily aims to evaluate the extent to which the Kebun Baru dementia-friendly wayfinding project has implemented Wesselink's design principles for dementia to foster PWD autonomy and mobility. The insights gained are intended to provide a valuable framework for implementing similar dementia-friendly wayfinding approaches in Indonesia. This qualitative study employed observation, in-depth interview, and document analysis. Based on this research, the Kebun Baru project successfully applied Wesselink's principles. In conclusion, the Kebun Baru project successfully designed an inclusive and supportive environment for PWDs by adhering to Wesselink et al.'s design principles. This offers valuable guidance for creating more inclusive urban spaces and contributes to SDGs.
