Hepcidin Alleviates Retinopathy of Prematurity by Regulating Oxidative Stress and Angiogenesis

We found that under hypoxic conditions, human retinal microvascular endothelial cells (hRMECs) exhibited oxidative stress and displayed excessive proliferation during short-term hypoxia, while hepcidin alleviated both the oxidative stress levels and abnormal proliferation in hypoxia-exposed hRMECs.本研究发现，在缺氧条件下，人视网膜微血管内皮细胞（human retinal microvascular endothelial cells, hRMECs）会产生氧化应激反应，且在短期缺氧过程中呈现过度增殖现象；而铁调素（hepcidin）可缓解缺氧暴露的hRMECs的氧化应激水平与异常增殖情况。
