This project investigates the transcriptomic changes in secondary hair follicle stem cells (SHFSCs) of cashmere goats after overexpression of the PSAT1 gene. SHFSCs were transfected with either the PSAT1-pcDNA3.1(+) expression vector (treatment group) or the empty pcDNA3.1(+) vector (control group). Each group included three biological replicates. Samples were collected 48 hours post-transfection for high-throughput RNA sequencing. The dataset provides insights into the molecular mechanisms by which PSAT1 regulates gene expression in SHFSCs and its potential role in hair follicle growth and development. This study contributes to understanding the regulatory pathways that influence cashmere quality and yield.
