Global annual number of cryptojacking attempts 2018-2022

Between 2018 and 2022, the number of cryptojacking attempts worldwide has gradually increased. In 2022, the number of such incidents was close to 140 million. This represented an increase of 43 percent compared to the preceding year. Cryptojacking is the process of hijacking someone's device intending to mine cryptocurrencies without the users' permission or awareness.
