In China, approximately two thirds of maize planting areas are suffering a shortage of water. Drought occurred at seedling stage generally exert seriously effects on maize in terms of limited height, low growth rate, and even result in complete yield failure. Therefore, how to alleviate drought harm on maize seedlings could have critical impacts on the maize production in this country. In order to obtain the excellent strain that can enhance the drought resistance of maize, the effect of rhizosphereand endophytic fungi on the growth of maize seedlings was carried out under drought treatment.

资源简介:
In this study, five strains of endophytic fungi Alternaria sp. AS1311、Alternaria sp. AS1321、Aspergillus sp. AS1141、Cladosporium sp. AS1541 and Talaromyce sp. AS1443 isolated from the rhizosphere soil of XinJiang halophytes (Petrosimonia sibirica, Reaumuria songonica, Salsola subcrassa, Suaeda salsa), were inoculated to the roots of maize seedlings in a greenhouse pot experiment for six weeks under drought stress.
