Metabolic mechanism of ethanol pre-fermentation to enhance anaerobic digestion of acidified food waste

Acidified food waste is often characterized by low anaerobic digestion (AD) efficiency during the treatment process, significantly hindering its effective recycling and utilization. Ethanol pre-fermentation can significantly improve the stability of AD of food waste by biologically regulating the acidogenic pathway.
