The Sea-Bird pH Sensor SBE18 (180701) was deployed on 2011-09-09 on ROPOS. This Remotely Operated Vehicle is operated by Canadian Scientific Submersible Facility (CSSF). This device is a pH Sensor. pH sensors measure the acidity, or alkalinity, of sea water by the concentration of hydrogen ions in the water column. It was deployed on a mobile platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 3.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
