This dataset comprises three groups of sensitivity experiments, namely: the FGOALS-f3-L dataset for the CMIP6 Arctic Amplification Model Intercomparison Project, the FGOALS-f3-L dataset for the CMIP6 Global Monsoon Simulation Model Intercomparison Project, and the CESM1.2.0 Tibetan Plateau Sensible Heat Experiment dataset. (1) The FGOALS-f3-L dataset for the CMIP6 Arctic Amplification Model Intercomparison Project includes 8 large ensemble experiments. Based on the land-atmosphere coupled model considering different combinations of underlying surface forcing, it examines the impacts of global sea surface temperature and sea ice changes on atmospheric circulation and the global climate system under pre-industrial, present-day, and future climate change scenarios. (2) The FGOALS-f3-L dataset for the CMIP6 Global Monsoon Simulation Model Intercomparison Project contains four topographic sensitivity experiments with the Tibetan Plateau, the East African and Arabian Peninsula plateaus, the Sierra Madre Mountains in North America, and the Andes Mountains in South America removed respectively, plus one thermal sensitivity experiment that eliminates surface sensible heat heating of terrain above 500m in the Tibetan-Iranian Plateau and its adjacent regions. This dataset can be used to assess the effects of sea surface temperature on the long-term and short-term trends of global monsoon circulation and precipitation, and to gain a better understanding of the role of large-scale topography in influencing global monsoons. (3) The CESM1.2.0 Tibetan Plateau Sensible Heat Experiment dataset is a set of global simulation sensitivity experiment datasets focusing on anomalously strong and weak spring sensible heat over the Tibetan Plateau, developed based on the climate system model CESM1.2.0 and the atmospheric general circulation model CAM4.0. It can be applied to analyze the impacts of anomalous spring heat sources over the plateau on global climate.
