The Public Instruction Act of 1880 (Act No.23, 1880, s.17), authorised instruction by the clergyman or other religious teacher. In the case of non-attendance of the religious instructor, the time set aside was to be used for 'ordinary secular instruction'.  This volume records the arrival and departure of visiting clergy.  Each entry lists time arrived, time departed, signature and usually date.  There is a remarks column in which religious denomination is often recorded.

1880年《公共教育法》（Public Instruction Act，1880年第23号，第17条）授权牧师或其他宗教教师开展教学活动。若宗教讲师缺席，预留的教学时段应被用于“普通世俗教育”。本卷宗记录了到访神职人员的抵达与离岗情况，每条条目包含抵达时间、离开时间、签名，通常还标注日期。卷宗设有备注栏，其中常会记录相关人员所属的宗教教派。
