RNA-seq for mice brain cortex after traumatic brain injury

Ten C57BL/6J male mice (6-8 weeks) were randomly divided into two groups, sham and traumatic brain injury (TBI)(n = 5). The sham group only received craniectomy, while the TBI group received a controlled cortical impact (CCI) after craniectomy. On the third day after TBI, all mice were sacrificed by cervical dislocation, and the brain tissues of the injured hemicerebrum were taken following storage in liquid nitrogen and sent to BGI for second-generation transcriptome sequencing.
