Nitrate-encumbered areas according to § 13aDüV

The nitrate backdrop according to § 13a DüV (2021) informs about all areas contaminated with nitrate, which were designated with the entry into force of the Bbg DüV (2022). In these designated areas, the deviating or supplementary requirements according to § 13a (2) DüV, § 1 Bbg DüV (2022) apply in principle. Areas with precipitation equal to 550 mm are presented separately in the present technical framework for the implementation of the requirements according to §13a (2) No. 7 of the Fertiliser Ordinance (DüV 2021). Requirements according to §13a (2) No. 7 of the Fertiliser Ordinance (DüV 2021): In crops with sowing or planting after 1 February, fertilisers with a significant nitrogen content may be applied only if an intermediate crop was cultivated on the affected area in the autumn of the previous year which was not broken before 15 January. This does not apply to areas where crops are harvested after 1 October and not areas in areas where long-term average annual rainfall is less than 550 millimetres per square metre.
