This study aimed to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying insecticide resistance in Anopheles stephensi, an invasive mosquito species that has emerged as an important vector for malaria transmission in parts of Africa. By comparing the transcriptomes of field-collected resistant populations and a susceptible laboratory strain using RNA-seq, we sought to identify genes associated with insecticide resistance. The insights gained from this study will contribute to the development of rapid diagnostic tools for monitoring resistance trends and inform the development of effective vector control strategies.
