MicroRNA sequencing in equine peripheral blood mononuclear cells

This study establishes the basal microRNA transcriptome in isolated peripheral blood mononuclear cells, as a resource for further immunological studies. It furthermore characterizes microRNA expression change in response to lipopolysaccharide in vitro, as a simple model of the innate immune response to bacterial endotoxin as in Gram-negative sepsis.
