Kite Aerial Photography NIMS grid Barrow, Alaska 2014

Aerial photographs of the Networked Info-mechanical Systems (NIMS) grid in Barrow, Alaska were taken using a rig and kite system. As part of the NIMS grid, white boards were nailed into the tundra to act as Ground Control Points (GCPs). The purpose of these boards was to facilitate the visibility of the grid from the aerial photographs, as well as to facilitate georeferencing using ArcMap GIS. Most of the pictures taken are high resolution although only a few are lacking good quality. The photographs are arranged according to flight date. The kite was flown about once a week throughout June, July and August of summer 2014.美国阿拉斯加州巴罗地区网络化信息机械系统（Networked Info-mechanical Systems, NIMS）网格的航空摄影照片，采用搭载装置与风筝系统完成拍摄。作为NIMS网格的组成部分，工作人员将白板钉扎于苔原之上以充当地面控制点（Ground Control Points, GCPs）。这些白板的作用一是提升该网格在航空摄影照片中的辨识度，二是辅助使用ArcMap地理信息系统（ArcMap GIS）完成地理配准。本次拍摄的影像绝大多数为高分辨率，仅少量存在画质不佳的问题。所有照片按航拍飞行日期进行整理归档。2014年夏季的6、7、8月期间，该风筝系统的升空频次约为每周一次。
