资源简介:
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom:0cm;text-align:justify;line-height:normal"><span lang="EN-GB" style="font-family:'times new roman' , serif">Age-related pathological processes increase the risk of cognitive
decline and dementia, which may be accelerated by frailty syndrome. Frailty,
characterized by reduced physiological reserve and neuropsychiatric symptoms,
is common in heart failure and triples the risk of adverse outcomes. This study
aimed to explore the links between frailty, cognitive decline, and dementia in
250 patients with heart failure (aged 60+), examined at the University Clinical
Hospital in Wrocław (2022–2023). Assessments included clinical, psychological,
and neuropsychological tests, as well as frailty measures (Clinical Frailty
Scale, gait speed, grip strength). Results will inform strategies to reduce
mortality and hospital readmissions while improving cognitive and functional
outcomes.</span></p>
