In 2022, the Indonesian Broadcasting Commission (KPI) recorded a total of 408 digital commercial television (TV) stations with a permanent broadcasting license, indicating a drastic increase compared to the previous year. A permanent TV broadcasting license in Indonesia must be renewed every ten years. This license can be obtained after a one-year trial period.
