Description of this data set The file named: "Antum_Geology.zip" is a ZIP archive containing the shapefiles of the Antum crater region for which the geological context is described. Such binary files can be opened with the commercial ArcGIS software. The symbology compatible with ArcGIS is also included. The file named: "Figure4.txt" is an ASCII file containing the spectral profiles shown in Figure 4, resulting from the processing of spectroscopic data of Ganymede coming from the Galileo/NIMS mosaic G2GNANTUM_01A (PDS filename "g2g001ci.qub"), in units of spectral reflectance following photometric correction. The first column represents the NIMS set of wavelengths expressed in microns (µm), while the other two columns are respectively the mean and median spectrum. The file named: "Spectral_indices.dat" includes the spectral indices shown in Figure 5 and Figure 6, and color composite maps shown in Figure 7b and 7c. These bidimensional maps are stored as a single-precision floating-point, little-endian binary stream of bytes, ordered according to the Band Sequential (BSQ) image encoding. This file can be opened with the commercial ENVI software, and is accompanied by a ASCII header file with same filename and suffix ".hdr". Such header file includes details that are needed to properly open and read the ".dat" file without the ENVI software and regardless of the programming language being used. The file named: "ROIs_spectra.txt" is an ASCII file containing the average spectral profiles of the six ROIs shown in Figure 8, in units of spectral reflectance following photometric correction. The first column is the NIMS set of wavelengths expressed in microns (µm), while the other columns are the average spectra of the six ROIs (from left to right: cf1, cf2, de1, de2, or1, or2). The file named: "Figure 10.dat" includes the processed data shown in Figure 10 and related to water ice grain size as derived form FCLS unmixing. These bidimensional maps are stored as a single-precision floating-point, little-endian binary stream of bytes, ordered according to the Band Sequential (BSQ) image encoding. This file can be opened with the commercial ENVI software, and is accompanied by a ASCII header file with same filename and suffix ".hdr". Such header file includes details that are needed to properly open and read the ".dat" file without the ENVI software and regardless of the programming language being used. The file named: "Figure 11.dat" includes the processed data shown in Figure 11 and Table 2, related to the scalar coefficients of the main spectral endmembers following FCLS unmixing. These bidimensional maps are stored as a single-precision floating-point, little-endian binary stream of bytes, ordered according to the Band Sequential (BSQ) image encoding. This file can be opened with the commercial ENVI software, and is accompanied by a ASCII header file with same filename and suffix ".hdr". Such header file includes details that are needed to properly open and read the ".dat" file without the ENVI software and regardless of the programming language being used. The file "iSALE_inputfiles.zip" is a ZIP archive containing ASCII input files for the impact crater modeling carried out with the iSALE code. There are two types of input files: those with filename "ast_*" contain descriptions of the Eulerial grid and the projectile kinetic energy and size, while those with filename "mat_*" describe the strength models of each material used for both the projectile and the target. The other values in the filename refer to: (i) projectile radius (600 m, 700 m, 750 m); (ii) impact speed (10 km/s, 15 km/s, 20 km/s); (iii) thermal gradient (5 K/km, 10 K/km, 15 K/km, present only in the "ast_*" input file); and (iv) thickness of the upper porous layer (0 km, 0.5 km, 1 km, 2 km).
