We report the sediment derived dissolved organic matter degradation in incubation experiment with the overlying seawater, shifts in microbial community structure during the incubation were investigated. Microbial genomic DNA was extracted from the polycarbonate membranes (microbial cells filtered) and the 16S rRNA gene sequences (v3+v4) were amplified by PCR.We classified the OTUs based on their phylogenetic affiliations and determined their relative proportions on the total number of sequencing reads.本研究报道了覆水培养实验中沉积物源性溶解性有机质的降解过程，并探究了培养过程中微生物群落结构的动态演变。研究人员从过滤截留微生物细胞的聚碳酸酯膜中提取微生物基因组DNA，并通过聚合酶链式反应（Polymerase Chain Reaction, PCR）扩增16S rRNA基因的v3+v4可变区序列。基于系统发育亲缘关系对操作分类单元（Operational Taxonomic Unit, OTU）进行分类，并以测序读段总数为基准，计算各操作分类单元的相对丰度。
