Table S1. U–Pb zircon dating data from the Asagara Formation in the Asagara area, Taki Town, Mie Prefecture. The Asagara Formation is divided into the following units from the lowermost: the Matsubadani Rhyolitic Tuffaceous Member, the Kamide Alternating beds of Rhyolitic Tuffaceous Sandstone and Mudstone Member, the Fudodani Rhyolitic Tuff Breccia Member, and the Nakade Rhyolitic Tuff Member. Sample Z56 is from the Matsubadani Rhyolitic Tuffaceous Member, sample Z57 is from the Fudodani Rhyolitic Tuff Breccia Member, sample Z58 is from the Nakade Rhyolitic Tuff Member, and sample Z59 is an biotite tonalite thought to be intrusive into the Asagara Formation. Concordance was defined as (²³⁸U–²⁰⁶Pb age)/(²³⁵U–²⁰⁷Pb age) values between 0.90 and 1.10.
