Co(isonicotinic acid)iodideSynthesis:1.995g of CuSO₄.5H₂O was taken in 100mL conical flask. 40mL of distilled water was added.0.984g of Isonicotinic acid was added, reaction mixture was kept on stirrer for 90min.6.532g of Ascorbic acid was added, reaction mixture turned pale green, 0.596g of KCl was added, reaction mixture turned brown-red color.Reaction mixture was filtered, washed with 20mL H₂O four times & 6mL ethanol 3 times.Filtrate was transferred to another beaker covered with perforated foil and left undisturbed.
