ROV Tracking and Sensor Data

ROV surveys were conducted near and within MPAs along the California’s North Coast (from Crescent City to Fort Bragg). One second ROV location (Lat/Lon in WGS84) data of each transect line are provided. The ROV position was calculated using the relative location from the vessel’s GPS position by the navigation software (Hypack). The ROV was equipped with various oceanographic sensors and the data was directly recorded to the computer. CTD was also equipped on the ROV and the data was recorded separately by its own software (Sea-Bird). Transect files are included to lookup the Dive, Line, Site, date, beginning/ending times of each line and transect types. The position data was included to provide where the ROV went. The sensor and CTD data provide the oceanographic data of the location where the ROV was at each second.
本研究在加利福尼亚北海岸(从新月城至布拉格堡)沿线的海洋保护区(Marine Protected Area,MPA)附近及内部开展了遥控无人潜水器(Remotely Operated Vehicle,ROV)调查。本数据集提供每条测线每秒一次的ROV位置数据(采用WGS84坐标系的经纬度信息)。ROV的位置通过导航软件(Hypack)基于母船GPS定位的相对位置计算得到。该ROV搭载了多套海洋学传感器,采集数据直接存储至计算机。ROV同时搭载了温盐深仪(Conductivity, Temperature, Depth,CTD),其采集数据通过配套软件(Sea-Bird)独立存储。附带的测线文件可查询每次下潜、测线、调查站点、日期及每条测线的起止时间与测线类型。位置数据用于记录ROV的航行轨迹,传感器及CTD采集的数据则提供ROV每一秒所在位置的海洋学环境参数。
