We comprehensively characterized cardiac progenitor cells (CPC) marked by Nkx2-5 and Isl1 expression from embryonic days E7.5 to E9.5 using single-cell RNA sequencing. Additionally, we provide data from Isl1 knockdown and Nkx2-5 overexpression experiments in E9.5, as well as bulk RNA-Seq and ATAC-Seq for CPCs from E7.5 to E9.5, bulk ATAC-Seq for Isl1+/CD31+, Isl1+/CD31- CPCs from E8.5 and 9.5 and single-cell ATAC-Seq for Isl1+ CPCs from E8.5 and E9.5.
