Ithaca Creek riparian zone enhancement

This project will contribute to the restoration of approximately 2km of vegetation along Ithaca Creek. Works will focus mainly on the removal of weeds and planting of native species that will enhance the structure and functionality of the existing remnant vegetation and increase the resilience of the waterway to withstand future disturbance. It will further support the dedication of active community bushcarers and catchment group members who have been working on revegetation activities in Ithaca Creek for many years. This project will aim to provide ecological enhancements to the Ithaca Creek riparian zone to improve water quality and species retention.

本项目将推动伊萨卡溪沿岸约2公里植被的修复工作。本次工程主要聚焦于杂草清除与本土物种种植，此举将优化现有残存植被的结构与功能，并提升该水道抵御未来扰动的韧性。本项目还将为长期以来在伊萨卡溪开展植被恢复活动的活跃社区灌丛管护志愿者与流域管护小组成员提供支持。本项目旨在对伊萨卡溪河岸带（riparian zone）进行生态优化，以改善水质并提升物种留存能力。
