General Social Survey, Cycle 16, 2002 [Canada]: Ageing and Social Support, Care Giving by Respondent (45-64)

The two primary objectives of the General Social Survey (GSS) are: to gather data on social trends in order to monitor changes in the living conditions and well being of Canadians over time; and to provide information on specific social policy issues of current or emerging interest. This survey collects data on family, social support and retirement for Canadians aged 45 years and over. The purpose of this survey is to better understand the needs and experiences of these Canadians by examining key transitions related to their families, care giving and receiving, work and retirement.综合社会调查（General Social Survey，GSS）的两大核心目标为：一是收集社会趋势相关数据，以长期追踪加拿大人的生活状况与福祉变化；二是为当前或新兴关注的特定社会政策议题提供相关信息。本调查面向45岁及以上的加拿大人，收集其家庭、社会支持与退休相关的数据。本调查旨在通过剖析受访者在家庭、照护与受照护、工作及退休等领域的关键人生转型节点，深入了解该群体加拿大人的需求与生活体验。
