Sea Ice Algae of the Saline Lakes of the Vestfold Hills

Samples were taken from Ace Lake, Watts Lake, Dingle Lake and Williams Lake. 3-5 ice cores were taken from each lake, in the hope of finding phytoplankton.13 cm diameter cores, sectioned at 20 cm intervals, melted into filtered seawater and examined under a compound microscope at Davis.No living cells were found, and as a result nothing was published.
