SPECFACE

The SPECFACE dataset was developed by the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, focusing on facial images of individuals wearing eyeglasses. It contains 60 samples spanning diverse ages, skin tones, facial expressions and lighting scenarios. The dataset was collected via smartphone cameras across various real-world environments, and is designed to serve as a standardized testbed for algorithms related to facial detection, recognition and other computer vision tasks, specifically addressing the occlusion issue induced by eyeglasses. This dataset not only enables classification of ocular region information, but also supports a wide range of applications including face recognition, head pose estimation and more, holding substantial research value for the computer vision community.
